Best Bench Setup To Maximize Arch/Position

Best Bench Setup To Maximize Arch/Position

💥 Best Bench Setup 💥

The best Bench setup for you is going to be the one that maximizes your position plain and simple. That being said using the bridge method allows you to maximize your leverage, increase your arch and help you keep that tucked position to keep your shoulders healthy while benching heavy.

Instead of just lying flat on the bench and trying to create an arch try starting off with a bridge instead.

By planting your feet up on the pad and glute bridging back into the pad the traction helps you tuck your shoulders down and under as you try to slide yourself up towards the top of the pad.

Once your shoulders are in position you can use that the bar or the bench itself to wedge and bring your feet down one at a time into whatever position you use. (Feet flat/tucked)

The bridge itself should be uncomfortable but not painful. If you feel your low back try squeezing your glutes to achieve the bridge rather than trying to just compress your lower back. This setup isn’t possible for everyone but for those who can this is a great way to maximize your setup and put you in the best possible starting position.
