Be sure to know the rules of the federation you compete in! I’ve never had an issue wrapping my wrist this way but your fed may vary. This method of wrist wrapping is far superior to what most lifters do where they tend to just bunch up a ton of wrap around the wrist but are still able to move their hand back and forth.
This is a great way to wrap your wrists that lock your hand position in and prevent the weight from changing your wrist position
This technique locks your hand and wrist to your forearm creating a stable base that you can hold the weight off of. Try this next time in your training and see the difference.
