Fix Lower Back Pain In The Bench Press!
If you're experiencing lower back pain when you're setting up to bench or when you're actually benching, it might have something to do with how well you're controlling your glutes!
Often times I see lifters jam themselves up with an aggressive set up because they aren't actually squeezing their hips at all
Since your glutes help stabilize the lower back, this is a muscle group that can really help alleviate a lot of those issues if activated properly
Make sure your glutes are properly activated here by not only driving your knees out, but by actually squeezing your hips as well
Remember though, we don't want to create activation like a glute bridge when benching, we want to push back off the pad
